Frequently asked questions
How do I sync clips to the beat?
Open Beat Timeline, drop in your music and clips, and hit Analyze beats. Cutflux detects beat positions and lets you snap clip cuts to them. Adjust the offset slider if the first beat is off.
Where do my videos get processed?
Most beat detection and preview work runs in your browser. Final renders and captions are processed on our Cloud Run backend so they don’t depend on your device’s power. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Captions are stuck on “Transcribing…”
Transcription requires a stable internet connection and can take 30–90 seconds for a full song. If it fails repeatedly, try a shorter clip or refresh the page and re-upload. Very quiet or heavily compressed audio can also cause failures.
The mobile app shows a blank screen
The Cutflux mobile app loads the site inside a web view. Force-quit the app and reopen. If it still fails, ensure you’re on iOS 15 or later and have a network connection.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Open the account menu on the web app and choose Manage subscription, which will take you to Stripe’s customer portal. See Refunds for the current refund policy.
How do I delete my account and data?
Email hello@cutflux.app from the address you registered with and ask us to delete your account. We’ll remove your Firebase auth record and purge associated project data. Analytics aggregates may persist as described in the Privacy Policy.
I found a bug or want to request a feature
Email us with steps to reproduce and, if possible, a screenshot or short screen recording. We read every submission and prioritize fixes that block editing.
Known limitations
- Video files above roughly 500 MB may fail to upload on slower connections; try trimming first.
- 4K exports are queued and can take several minutes depending on backend load.
- Some browser extensions (particularly ad-blockers) can interfere with authentication or analytics; whitelist
cutflux.appif sign-in fails silently.
