Terms of Service

Last updated: September 18, 2026

These terms cover your use of Cutflux, the beat-synced video editor at cutflux.app. By creating an account or using the editor you agree to them. They are written to describe what the product actually does.

1. Who we are

Cutflux is the video editing service at cutflux.app. Contact: hello@cutflux.app.

2. Your account

You need an account to export and to use premium features. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping access to your sign-in method. One person, one account — do not share an account or resell access.

You can delete your account yourself at any time from Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. That cancels any active or trialing subscription, deletes your Cutflux user record, and removes your sign-in record. It cannot be undone.

3. Free and premium

What the code enforces today:

Plan prices and what each plan includes are on the pricing page. Trials, the $1 card verification, cancellation and refunds are described on Refunds & Cancellations, which is part of these terms.

We may change plan limits and features. If a limit changes, the pricing page changes with it.

4. Your content stays yours

You keep all rights to the video, audio and images you bring to Cutflux, and to the edits you export. You grant us only the narrow permission needed to run the feature you asked for: to receive, process, render and return your files. We do not use your media to promote Cutflux, and we do not train models on it.

Files sent to our servers for cloud render or captions are deleted after the job — see the Privacy Policy for exactly how long they survive. Cutflux is not storage or backup. Keep your own copy of anything you care about, and download your export promptly.

5. What you may not do

We can suspend or close an account that does these things.

6. Third-party services

Cutflux runs on Google Firebase, uses Stripe for payments, AssemblyAI for premium caption transcription, and Resend for email. Their outages or policy changes can affect the service, and their own terms apply to their part of it.

7. Availability — no promises we cannot keep

Cutflux is provided "as is". There is no uptime guarantee, no guarantee that a render will succeed, and no guarantee that a feature you rely on will still exist next month. Renders can fail, and files on the render server are deleted on a short timer whether or not you downloaded them.

To the maximum extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits, lost footage or lost time. Our total liability for any claim relating to Cutflux is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; where that is the case, they apply only as far as permitted, and nothing here removes rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

9. Ending your access

You can stop at any time: cancel your subscription from the billing portal, or delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, or if we shut the service down. If we shut it down, we will say so by email to the address on your account.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update this page and the "Last updated" date. Continuing to use Cutflux after a change means you accept the new version.
