Common first-time questions
Do I need to install anything?
No. Cutflux runs entirely in your browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox all work). Nothing to download until you export your finished clip.
Can I use any song?
Technically yes — but if you post to TikTok/Instagram/YouTube, those platforms enforce music rights on their side. Use songs you have rights to, or use TikTok's trending audio inside their app after posting your video.
Why did the beats look off?
Beat detection uses onset analysis — it's usually right, but songs with vocals-only intros or double-time drums can confuse it. Nudge the beat markers by drag, or try our Beat Editor for full manual control.
Does it work on my phone?
The main editor is desktop-only (browsers on phones can't handle the heavy video work). Our mobile experience at /mobile.html gives you preview + template picks. A native iPhone app is on the way — join the waitlist.
What if my export fails?
Refresh and try again — most fails are browser memory issues on very long source clips. If it keeps failing, email hello@cutflux.app with your video length and browser, and I'll debug it with you.
